Obama’s Top Ten Accomplishments - His First 100 Days
Obama’s Top Ten Accomplishments – His First 100 Days
As we approach the blessed milestone of President Obama’s first 100 days in office, it is time for a look back at His top accomplishments. The President began his term by expressing concern about the sheer number of problems faced by the nation and has since taken drastic action to exacerbate each.
One can’t call the President a liar for not attempting to keep his word. However, what many simply thought was campaign rhetoric, turns out to be the actual set of Obama objectives. Should the liberal media ever analyze campaign positions and discuss implications of certain proposals, the country could have a reasoned discussion over which would be the better candidate. Unfortunately, emotional rhetoric seems to carry modern elections and America will have to endure. This past election cycle was determined by the chill going up Chris Mathews’ leg.
For now, as we hit the 100 day mark, it is appropriate to look back at the damage the President has done to the country, and to be fair, look at His accomplishments, including:
10. Entering the oval office through the window – in an attempt to display his super human powers, the President attempted to enter the Oval Office through a window. Photographers that captured the incident are still being sought.
9. Getting the teleprompter equipment through European customs – Transporting this much stuff required the White House to procure a dispensation against trafficking in performance equipment. Europeans don’t’ like a lot of American hardware flowing through their nations, so they were suspicious of this much equipment and technical support personnel. All ended well, though when the Obama ‘roadies’ made good friends with those that the President was apologizing to.
8. Closing Guantanamo – To payback his lunatic leftist supporters, President Obama signed an executive order closing the Guantanamo detention center within the first few hours of his Presidency. While the world’s loons rejoiced, an unnamed reporter inadvertently asked where the prisoners were to be taken. Obama staff then realized that their jobs required actually doing work and not simply telling others what to think.
7. Keeping Biden gaffes to a minimum – Since the election, the Vice President has been held in an undisclosed, secure location – As the VP once referred to his boss as “Barack America” Biden is not to be let loose on the public. Look for Biden to reappear sometime in early 2011 to kick off the next Presidential campaign by taking attention away from the President’s failures.
6. Bribing media to keep questions easy – and to keep them waiting at their dinner bowls for the next scrap of misinformation thrown to them by Robert “Soft Shoe” Gibbs. Some journalists however, have been trained to act independently, such as CNN’s Susan Roesgen. She has received her invitation to the President’s Press Dinner and will get something other than held-over chicken in wine sauce.
5. Finding people to work with Geithner – This is an ongoing task and has proved a bit more challenging than originally thought. Prior to being appointed Treasury Secretary, Geithner didn’t think he should have to pay the same kind of taxes employers pay on their workers. (Democrats typically think they are better people than the rest of us and should be able to leave the distasteful task of paying taxes to evil conservatives.) When the firestorm finally subsided, Obama made the decision not to appoint anyone else that had not paid their taxes. Accordingly, no Democrat has been identified that fulfils that requirement.
4. Taking no position on the use of enhanced interrogation – Or.. rather… taking all the positions at once. After telling security workers they were safe, the President heard from his nut-job supporters and took another stance without rejecting his first position. Threatening to prosecute those that successfully prevented further loss of American life after 9/11 has successfully shut down one of the last pieces of government apparatus that accomplished its objectives.
3. Establishing a position as a living saint – The President has used his oratory skills to keep approval numbers up while keeping the economy down. This by itself should be considered a miracle. But given the state of public education – maybe not.
2. Redistributing wealth – Obama successfully set the expectation that Joe the plumber will receive a CEO bonus. Unfortunately, due to His 2010 inflation this might be true. After all, he didn’t promise how much his inflation tax would cost.
1. Fooling most taxpayers into thinking they’ll get a tax cut - Putting all the pieces together, President Obama has masterfully woven media ignorance and compliance together with the lack of education on how a free economy functions, to create the illusion that the middle classes will receive a tax cut. Tax rates for middle class folks will modestly decline, but the price for their lunch salads will go through the roof. By structuring it this way, the lettuce pickers will be blamed for rising prices and not the President.

I guess “velocity is a virtue”, as has been said about Obama… when you’re trying to ram a radical agenda down the throats of a economically shell-shocked populace before they wake-up to what you’re doing. And what Obama is doing is dismantling everything that made America great… in the name of his wacked-out Marxist-professor mentors.
Only a fool would cheer risky programs with no historical precedent of success like astronomical pork-barrel spending (while borrowing ALL of the money from communist China), a Jimmy Carter-esque pacifist foreign policy steeped in appeasement, embracing scum like Hugo Chavez while insulting traditional allies… and Obama & Co. display a pattern of dishonesty that is troubling- that’s putting it politely.
Check back with us in a year- when people start to come out of the ether after a couple international embarrassments and 10% inflation from the reckless print-money spending-spree that The One if foisting on us.
In three years, people will wince at the very mention of the name “Obama”- and the GOP could win 40 states running Gilbert Gottfried.

This is a really funny top ten list. I think in another 100 days you’ll have more blunders by this administration to make fun of. You can post this to our site http://www.toptentopten.com/ and then link back to your site. We are looking for top ten lists and our users can track back to your site. The coolest feature is you can let other people vote on the rankings of your list.

Little attention has been paid to one of Obama’s greatest “achievements” and that is losing the war in Afghanistan. This administration actually gave away (Hillary was told to let it go) Manas AB in Kyrgyzstan. That was our ONLY air resupply route into Afghanistan. In Pakistan, which used to be our primary means of resupply, almost immediately after his inauguration party hangover, the Paks gave almost the entire border region over to the Taliban (and AlQueda) whereupon they immediately blew the main bridge on the Khyber Pass on 3 Feb. Pakistan stopped sending POL (petroleum and lubricants) to Afghanistan. The other bridges into Afghanistan were blown by the Taliban this month. There are no refineries in Afghanistan and 100% of POL (diesel and aviation gas) must be trucked in. There are only left two northern routes, and these are easily targeted - as the Soviets found out. (many troops - then and now - have died defending the tunnel at Salang Pass) It is estimated that only 80% of POL actually makes it to our troops on the frontlines of Afghanistan. The rest is pilfered and/or destroyed. Close air support in the Hindu Kush and border mountains has been drastically curtailed due to fuel constraints. Chow halls are down to one or two hot meals a day. Milk is pulled from chow halls at 9am. Toiletries and other necessities are rationed and shared. Military Postal Service has kicked in its Contingency Operations and that allows military mail to be marked as “international priority mail” and takes priority in getting into Afghanistan.
If you don’t understand what cutting off an army on the field of battle is like, read history about Rommel. or Napoleon. or Vicksburg.
Fait accompli monsieur Hussein.
The Hindu Kush has defeated: Alexander the Great; Kublai Khan; the first Ottoman Empire; the Duke of Wellington; the Soviet Union; and it is now being prepped to destroy any and all advancements and victories that the US and Coalition forces have achieved in the past seven years. There is no other reason other than President Obama’s own wrong-headed and deliberate actions. We actually were winning that war also.
We shall continue to pray that our military can withstand Obama’s direct and indirect support to our enemies whom we are currently fighting. God help our troops and protect them from President Obama.

“For now, as we hit the 100 day mark, it is appropriate to look back at the damage the President has done to the country, …”
Many people are saying, let’s really get out for the mid-term elections, so we can fix some of this stuff.
That’ll be too late. Look at the damage already done in just 4 months. We have to start now. Start working for recall petitions, at all levels of government.
Today or tomorrow, Congress will pass the new health system. They allowe no Republican input, they allowed only 35 hours of debate for a trillion-dollar bill that will effectively nationalize 15% or so of the country’s health system.
I don’t know if anybody’ll be able to fix that.
Reeko: “The Hindu Kush has defeated:…” Good point. That’s because the Hindu Kush has been there for a very long time. The words translate to “Hindu killer”.
But unless somebody comes up with another Hannibal, it ain’t going to be easy going in there.
“In three years, people will wince at the very mention of the name “Obama”- and the GOP could win 40 states running Gilbert Gottfried.”
Three years is too late. By then Obama will have the cultural status here that Mao had in China. Example: Just go through any big bookstore or magazine store for a few weeks. See how many covers featuring Obama or Michelle you can find. I’d say about a hundred. A week.
About Afghanistan: If you don’t go into a war expecting to win, you won’t.

zzmike,
Very good points. May I suggest that we did indeed have a “Hannibal” pursuing the war to its bitter end, and he was a Hannibal who was revered almost like a rock star… Now, we have a chump Marxist who is nothing but reviled among our troops. they instinctively know that they are being led to slaughter and defeat. They hate him.
It is no small coincidence that OBL chose the Hindu Kush as his bastion of redoubt. From its relative obscurity and security he can very effectively hold off any and all comers. He has done so for over 7 years. He is no dummy. He purposely chose one of the most inhospitable places on the face of the earth for his sanctuary - knowing full well that not only is its terrain inaccessible, but the political landscape there is as well.
The biggest mistake the administration is about to make now is the insistence of the Taliban (which is on the verge of beseiging Peshawar) that OBL is already dead. If we accept that taqqiya (Muslim lies), and it appears that Obama is ready to do so, and prepped the NATO and Coalition to do so, then we have indeed fought in vain there, and what would’ve been our victory and justice for 9/11 will now become our greatest defeat and shame.
PS: the media and WH spin will be that “OBL is dead - our objective is accomplished!” and Obama will be hailed a hero. False hero. OBL is not dead…
Alas and until then, we who send packages downrange to our troops there will continue to fight the good fight. We have a mailout this weekend in fact. Our troops are suffering and need our help. At least this much we can and will do…
