Daily Obamatude for June 4

The President yesterday boarded Air Force One to make yet another international trip to use his influence to bring peace to the world.

President Obama’s trip to the middle east kicked off with a stop in Saudi Arabia - which provided the President with a chance to not bow before the king.   Then, He made a quick jump over to Cairo to speak to the world’s Muslim population about how Israel’s settlements are a danger to peace and how the US is not at war with Islam.   

Telling the Muslims that the US is not the enemy of the Muslim world or at war with them will surely bring peace. The speech was attended by members of the Islamic brotherhood - who will no doubt return home and begin lives as farmers and merchants.

Reality set in this week in Sacramento as voters refused to allow their state government to appropriate more of citizen’s hard earned money.  In what should be a lesson to the rest of the United States, California’s tax policy finally revealed what happens when citizens demand goods and services at the expense of others.  Bankruptcy is now a real possibility for the Golden State.

California legislators now must begin the work of being honest with their constituents;  they must start cutting services they promosed as part of the massive Calfirona social compact.   This will be particularly distateful to state Democrats as for years liberals have purchased votes using benefits paid for by weathier residents.  Now that fewer residents are paying into the state fund, fewer services are available and Democrats have to answer for it.  It will at least make the news worth watching.

Cool is California - for it makes Me appear frugal

In announcing his next press conference - scheduled for next Wednesday, April 29 - President Obama obviously felt the need to step in for Press Secretary Robert “Soft Shoe” Gibbs.  During the daily press briefings Gibbs has been dancing around - even calling into question the journalist’s motives when asked a question he doesn’t want to answer.  Not feeling that Gibbs has performed properly, the President is stepping in to do the dancing himself.

The President’s List of Virtues - 2009 Obamatudes

As the nation approaches this holiday weekend, it seems appropriate to examine the proposed ‘Change’ in the way Obama believes we must view our society.  After all, ‘Hope and Change’ isn’t just a campaign theme.

With the Democrat party firmly in control of the US government, the push to change American culture is underway.  Reflecting on the meaning of ‘Hope and Change’ there appear several similarities to other well known statements of virtues.   As Democrats attempt to reform American culture and install liberal values in the place of traditional ones, FirstConservative has arrived at the following list of Obama’s virtues.

As Obama is fond of presenting himself as a cooler, hipper President, the virtues or  “Obamatudes” have been updated to reflect the progressive vision of the new administration.

Cool are the children -  for they shall in inherit His debt.
Hip are the ones who watch CNN – for they shall be controlled
Cool are the unemployed – for they shall become dependent
Hip are the auto makers – for they shall be taken over
Cool are the bankers – for they shall keep the crisis alive
Hip are the blamers of Bush – for they shall not understand history
Cool are the middle classes – for His inflation shall be their tax increase
Hip are the High School dropouts – for they shall become ACORN members

Political Humor - Daily Obamatude for June 15

Vice President Joe Biden said yesterday that “everyone was wrong on unemployment.”  The intent of the statement was again to blame George W. Bush for how bad the economy had really been and to buy more time for the administration to get jobs growth going.  Instead, VP Joe brought to light the high level of administrative economic incompetence.  Total unemployment was originally expected to reach the neighborhood of 8%, the actual rate at the end of May turned out to be 9.4%.  Some in the administration are beginning to realize that the Stimulus is having an impact other than what they intended.

An average recession lasts a total of 18 months.  As this milestone is reached June 30 of this year, administration political hacks are ramping up the message that this recession is worse and therefore justifies greater public patience.  Obama’s high approval ratings should buy some additional time, but not much. 

Biden’s statement on unemployment will not be the last excuse heard for failing to get the economy moving.

Political Humor - Daily Obamatude for June 12

It may have finally dawned on the President and his team of dreamers that what they have already done to the economy may actually be extending the recession.  Not that this would really matter to them, but it does create a political problem of having promised to end the recession but have thus far failed.  The tried and true strategy of ‘Just Blame Bush’ has worked with the lackeys at CNN, but even those that read press releases for a living are getting bored with the storyline. With the State of California on the brink of bankruptcy, Universal Health Care in trouble with Congress, the clock is ticking on public patience. 

Iran provides a welcome distraction for the country and the news media.  Even though the election is a sham between only Mullah-approved candidates that intend to continue terrorist activities abroad and oppression of women and others at home, the illusion of an election provides a false confidence that things just might be changing for the better.

NBC News began airing a fluff piece called “Inside the Obama White House” on its evening newscast Monday.  While there is nothing wrong with ‘fluff pieces’ this one was revealing in that it revealed NBC News worships this President.  In remarking how very interesting it was that the President passed him in the hallway ‘munching on M&Ms,’ anchor Brian Williams was agog at how ‘normal’ Obama is.  That it would be surprising how normal a man is, also indiciates how childishly infaturated Williams and the rest of the DC Obama followers actually are with this President.

Closing Guantanamo Detention Center has re-emerged as a leading news item this week as Democrats have figured out that moving prisoners to the United States would inevitably mean that some would be released onto American streets.  In the ‘duh’ position of the week, Senator Jim Webb, D-VA, upon learning that a number of those held at Club Gitmo might be released in northern Virginia, said of course that he opposes the move. 

It appears that, finally, Democrats understand that at least one liberal judge will find a technicality upon which to release some of these trained killers into the United States - and their constituents will hold Democrats accountable. 

The Obama administration has proceeded with its ‘make them like us’ strategy with Guantanamo murderers and appears confident that once released, these detainees will make good citizens.
