Obama Press Conference - Unasked Questions

Obama Press Conference – Unasked Questions

Team Obama has discovered one of the really nice things about controlling the Presidency is that you don’t have to pay for airtime.  Most networks were all too anxious to give up revenue generating programming to cover a speech and 13 softball questions.   Small wonder the networks are losing market share and boatloads of money.  No matter, since they are the mouthpieces of the Obama message, they will be first in line for the next set of bail outs.

Obama began his Pep Rally by – of course – apologizing.  Seeming a bit out of character because of being on American soil, Obama chose to issue an apology to pigs.  Feeling they have been maligned by their association with the recent flu outbreak, the President apparently wanted to make the swine feel better about themselves - right before they are turned into pork chops and bacon.

Like most Pep Rallies, Team Obama indeed rolled out a smooth and crisp performance, owing primarily to careful screening of the journalists present.  The only reporters that were allowed to ask questions were generally ones few people have ever heard of.  These are the ones who would be expected to ask simple and ridiculous questions.

All press conferences include at least a couple strange or irrelevant questions.  However, the media’s leftward bias is more revealed in those questions that go ‘unasked.’   Softball questions leave plenty of room for obvious follow ups.

Topics ranged prisoner interrogations to the usual ‘touchy-feely’ ones including:  “What surprised you the most, what has what has enchanted you the most and what has humbled you the most about being President”   Akin to asking the man in the most powerful and influential position in the world what kind of tree he would be and why, this question revealed an incredible lack of curiosity on the part of the main stream press for all important issues.  The reporter who asked this should be ashamed of wasting the world’s time and wasting an incredible opportunity to get some meaningful information.

Obvious follow up:  - actually, there simply can be no follow up to a question this stupid.

On enhanced questioning of prisoners and prosecuting those that approved it – supported by congressional democrats – Obama believes that interrogations although they saved American lives, were unnecessary.  Dredging up an irrelevant reference to Winston Churchill and German prisoners who had no useful information, the President admitted that the enhanced questioning worked.  Incidentally, the UK -owing to its experience in Ireland and elsewhere - has one of the most feared interrogation methodologies around.

Obvious follow up: What were these ‘other’ methods and how would they have saved lives in LA - the target of the alleged terror attack?
Obvious follow up II:  Who changed the President’s mind on prosecuting those that approved of these interrogations and why?

On automobile industry take over plans – The President said that he wanted the companies to stand on their own and that Chrysler was set to merge with Fiat.  This ensures that a portion of whatever future profits the company might earn would be sent to Italy.  That would certainly be good for American taxpayers.

Obvious follow-up: Does the government intend to keep a controlling interest or a voice in Chrysler or GM? Or does the administration favor getting out of the business completely.
Obvious follow up II:  Why then is the federal role increasing in the operations of these companies?

On the size of the federal government - Obama stated that He doesn’t want bigger government

Unbelievably obvious follow up:  how does the massive expansion of the federal role in banking and manufacturing fit the definition of smaller government?  And how does the incredible increase in the national debt contribute to smaller government?

On Pakistan - Interestingly, the President didn’t offer any apologies and instead chose to express no confidence in the democratic government he as a Senator, insisted be installed.  That country’s nuclear arsenal is under some threat by the Taliban and other militants and should Pakistan fall to these insurgents, Al Qaeda would have instant access to nuclear weapons.

Obvious and terrifying follow up:  Now that you have said that you don’t believe the Pakistani government can handle the situation, what realistic measures would you take to help? (Perhaps the obvious answer was as scary as the question – Obama would be left apologizing to militant Islam so they won’t kill millions of us in our homeland)

Top Ten Places to Put Guantanamo Prisoners

Top Ten Places to Put Guantanamo Prisoners

The Obama administration made good on its promise to close the Guantanamo detention facility when it first took office back in January.  Since then, administration planners have been hard at work identifying appropriate facilities in which to relocate the - can’t use the phrase “Terrorists” – detainees.  When the outpouring of accolades Obama received for closing Gitmo finally subsided, the administration was able to identify cities to take the prisoners.   When He asked for the list of cities willing to take the battlefield detainees, Obama received a blank sheet of paper.

Like most liberal ideas, the very people that come up with the plans are unwilling to execute them.  Like paying taxes, liberals believe that the dirty work should be done by lesser people.   That is why Obama can’t find any Democrats who have paid their taxes to apply for work at the Treasury Department.

Closing Gitmo appeased the international leftist community as well as several American human rights groups.     But now what?  Where does the Leader send these aggressive, would-be killers of Americans?  It is a difficult question and in this issue, Obama has learned the difference between making policy and executing the solution.  Obama is by nature a talker and not a ‘doer.’  Accordingly, his team is still working on a solution.

As Team Obama is struggling with where to relocate potential butchers of Americans, the following top ten cities have emerged as leading candidates to take on Gitmo prisoners.

10.  Burlington, VT – Boasting a thoroughly liberal culture, the State of Vermont should be happy to accommodate a Presidential request to take on a bunch of people who want to kill them.  The laid-back Vermont lifestyle should allow the detainees to easily escape their confinement to continue with their mission.

9.  Hartford, CT- Senator Dodd desperately needs a distraction as he begins his campaign for re-election.  Following his rigging the AIG bail out to provide him with campaign funds, Senator Dodd should be willing to push his local contacts to allow more thugs into Connecticut jails.

8.  Alexandria VA – On the outskirts of Washington, DC, this seems like a natural choice.  Allowing the terrorists convenient access to federal courts would be efficient and would be keeping with the ‘green’ philosophy of the Obama administration.  The prisoners wouldn’t have to go very far to abuse the US legal system.  Additionally, should any of them escape; they wouldn’t have to travel very far to continue their rampage.

7.  Dover, DE – The state of Delaware should be willing to take a few of these folks.  Delaware residents might not understand the full implications of housing Gitmo prisoners, but they kept electing Biden to the Senate, so they could be fooled into believing that they would be safe.

6.  Boulder, CO – Former University of Colorado Professor (proven liar and leftist nut-case), Ward Churchill would be happy to become neighbors with people who share the former professor’s view of the country.  The only difference between Churchill and his new neighbors would be that the detainees back up their words with action.

5.  Madison, WI – One of the country’s liberal bastions, Madison should be able to showcase its tolerance for people of other belief systems by bringing in a bunch of psychopathic murderers.  The locals can then show tolerance by being nice to them while they are in jail.

4.  Minneapolis, MN – Any state that elects Stuart Smalley as their Senator should be willing to take on a few more despotic maniacs.  The soon-to-be Senator Franken should be happy to support relocating these crazed killers into his state capitol as they share many of his beliefs.

3.  Philadelphia, PA – After all, the City of Brotherly Love should be able to win the hearts and minds of a couple of these predators.  If not, Senator Specter can surely find some bipartisan way to surrender to them.

2.  Portland, OR – The Oregon legislature should, after wrestling with its budget nightmare, be able to figure out how to tax Gitmo prisoners for something.  This would prove beneficial to the Oregon economy.  Nothing else has worked and Democrats that run the state are out of things to tax.

1.  San Francisco, CA - or “Pelosiville” is a natural ‘fit’ to house people that want to hurt America.  Many current residents of the city feel the same way.  What are a few more people that want to bring America to her knees?

Obama Hears the Tea Party Message

Obama Hears the Tea Party Message

Robert “Tap Dance” Gibbs, the President’s Press Secretary said this morning that $100 million is a lot of money.  Robert Gibbs really isn’t anyone that one would pay money to see tap dance.  Responding that cutting $100 million from the incredibly bloated federal budget really is significant, Gibbs dressed up the pig as best he could by assailing the Washington culture where $100 million doesn’t seem like a lot of money.

The window dressing Gibbs was trying to apply to the Obama budget was a direct result of the Tea Party rallies held last week.  Understanding that a good portion of the public wants to see the federal government reduce expenditures, Team Obama undertook to eliminate $100 million from the annual budget.  This amounts to an infinitesimally small percent of the total Stimulus package.  Still, Gibbs insisted this was a meaningful effort.  Gibbs and the administration attempted to throw this bone to the Tea Party participants with the hope that their accomplices at MSNBC would make a big deal out of the budget cutting.

Instead, like several other PR problems this week, the budget cutting is proving more trouble than it was worth.  Reporters tired of being dismissed by Gibbs actually followed up their questions and even called into question Gibb’s flippant attitude.    All this may herald the close of Obama’s first one hundred days.  It may also herald the point where the Leader begins taking a popularity dive.

Obama’s Flip Flops - Lessons from the Clinton Years

Obama’s Flip Flops – Lessons from the Clinton Years

During a quick trip to CIA Headquarters to reassure intelligence staff that He supported them in their mission, President Obama told the assembled group that they should not fear retribution for actions taken under the Bush administration – particularly for instances where aggressive interrogation was used.   By the time the President returned from Langley, the Democratic left was already howling.  Obama had been conspiring with the bad guys.

The left has always viewed the CIA as an instrument of the American corporate establishment – whatever that means – and therefore the institution is not to be trusted.  When allegations of torture emerged, the left demanded prosecutions.  Earlier this week, Obama reassured His intelligence community that there would be none.  This morning he said He would be “open to prosecutions.”  As a skilled politician, flip-flopping on issues is a necessary career skill – especially for a Democrat.

Democrats are particularly sensitive to international pressure on issues such as torture.  The UN Human Rights Commission joined the American left in assailing Obama’s willingness to let any torture cases go unprosecuted.  The UN group even went as far as to say that the US was obligated under UN treaties to prosecute those that are accused of administering torture.  After hearing their objections, the President 180’d to appease his leftist supporters.

This is an issue that Obama really wants to ‘go away.’  Believing He has talked enough about torture, the President dearly wants to move on to other issues – such as wrecking the economy.  After all, in the Obama handbook – talking equals doing.  And He believes He has done enough.  However His international rock-star status may be threatened by His current stance on torture.  This is a conundrum of His making.

History should provide Obama some guidance for getting out of this box.  Former President Bill Clinton was probably the best “double-talker” the world has ever seen.  The former President verbally worked his way out of so many public relations nightmares that it defies modern journalists to chronicle it all.   Obama could use a few lessons from the grand master of getting out of a jam.  Clinton had about five simple rules, including:

5.  Push- off Responsibility – Obama has a head start on this one.  Reacting to the demand for torture prosecutions, He put the ball squarely in the court of Attorney General Eric Holder.  Holder doesn’t want the ball and is now trying to hand it off to someone else.  If the administration team members keep handing off the ball to one another, the public may lose interest in the issue altogether.   Should it be revealed that major attacks were prevented – as stated by former VP Dick Cheney – Obama will only get himself deeper in the vise.

4.  Appear tough on international issues to keep conservatives quiet - Democrats will make noise, but conservatives are the real adversaries.  Therefore conservatives need to be mollified.   Obama needs to appear tough.  The Clinton plan involved finding a weak adversary that talks tough and is run by terrible people.  The world provides a wealth of these opportunities for Obama such as Zimbabwe, Cuba, Venezuela and now Nicaragua but most of these are run by the President’s Socialist BFFs.  Bill Clinton identified the former Yugoslavia as his target - using US airpower to blast the Yugoslav army and air force into dust.  Yugoslavia was never a threat to the US, but made the mistake of fueling a sectarian war in its own territory.  When NATO gave the okay, Clinton warmed up the Air Force to try out some of those new and cool precision guided bombs and radar-evading aircraft.

3.  Change the subject – Obama needs to create another crisis to move the left’s attention away from torture and onto something like – feeding the masses in Kenya.  Political hack Rahm Emanuel should be able to manufacture a crisis du jour until the torture issue goes away.

2.  Not respond to criticism - Obama still enjoys the willing support of the lapdog media.  CNN would never dare ask another pointed question lest they see their invitation to the annual Press Club Dinner get lost in the mail.  Clinton’s famous line that “no attack ad ever fed a hungry child” caused the press to faint with emotion and totally forget the question that prompted the response.  Obama dug himself a bit of a hole when he answered the torture question by saying the US Attorney General would be making the decision on prosecution.  He should have simply answered with something to the effect:  “none of this will provide one US job and that is what I am focused on.”    Some in the press wouldn’t have let it drop, but they would be absent from the Press Club Dinner.

1.  Just plain lie – Politicians really are pretty good at this.  Clinton took this to an entirely new level with his “I didn’t have sex with… “you know the rest.  Obama may actually be doing this He says to His activist friends that prosecution “is still on the table.”

Obama’s Next Task - Apologize to the Dog

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Obama’s Next Task - Apologize to the Dog

President Obama burned up a lot of fuel these past two weeks on Air Force One. Travelling the world apologizing for past American sins, mistakes, misunderstandings and perceived arrogance, the President tailored his message to each country he visited, using local language where possible – except for the ‘Austrian’ language.

Apparently needing to replenish the fuel stocks for Air Force One, Obama even made nice with Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.  Not wanting to upset the despot, Obama smiled politely when Chavez approached, shook his hand and asked to refuel his plane with Venezuelan jet fuel.   The meeting then broke down into the usual anti-American rants, including tyrannical speeches by Chavez and none other than commie lifestyle-leftover from Nicaragua – Danny (Child Molester) Ortega.  He and Chavez had a grand time excoriating the United States in public.  Obama responded with, well…. nothing.  He, Chavez and Ortega are now BFFs.

Believing the apologies are not enough to make Latin America like him, Obama – issued no response to all the anti-American rants and slander.  Instead, Obama quietly returned home to contemplate the next round of the Apology tour.  Upon his return, Bo, the Obama family dog was also included in the welcome-home event.  Not wanting to leave Bo out, the President apologized to the dog for being gone so long.  It was the first apology in two weeks that made sense.

As the President has been away from home, Obama has missed most of Bo’s training.  To help him catch up here are ten key points that the President must heed - put in language He will understand:

10.  Understand your breed - Like Americans, Portuguese Water Dogs understand English.  They don’t understand as much English as, say, Hillary Clinton, but Portuguese Water Dogs don’t respond to commands in Portuguese.  Neither does Hillary.

9.  Regular Exercise – The President is good at taking care of himself.  Exercising regularly must now include the dog.  A good way to arrange this would be to have Bo attend the daily press conference briefings with Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.   When Gibbs starts dancing, Bo will get plenty of exercise dodging Gibb’s flailing feet.   Count on Bo to develop fast reflexes or he’ll wind up taking a flight across the press room.

8.  Regular Mealtime – The Dog’s favorite time of day is mealtime.  It is best left to Bo to consume his meals in comfort and in peace.  This is similar to allowing US citizens to consume goods they choose in comfort and peace.  The economy works best when consumers are relatively free of interference and confusion.

7.  Regular Bedtime – Like workers, a dog needs plenty of rest.  Make bedtime predictable.  Bo will require about 20 hours of sleep each day to stay in a good mood.  The long-haired, unshaven ACORN leftists that campaigned for Barack Obama also require about 20 hours of sleep just to spell their names.

6.  Reinforce good behavior – When good behaviors are noticed, excited praise is required.  When Chrysler announced late this afternoon that part of its finance division would refuse future government money, Obama should have heaped praise upon them.  Chrysler wants to be free of government control.  Unfortunately for them, Obama wants to control it.  However, it is difficult to control a company when the company doesn’t want to be controlled.

 5.  Do not reinforce poor behavior – The flip side to rewarding good behavior, the dog owner must never reinforce poor behavior.  When General Motors appeared on the verge of bankruptcy, the President intervened to save the company from its own horrible business decisions.  This was a reward to GM shareholders, managers and unions and prevented them from paying the price for their awful management of the company.  This also cost the taxpayers a great deal of money.  Unfortunately, GM will probably have to declare bankruptcy anyway, so Obama just threw away millions more in taxpayer dollars.  Obama should have learned from this experience.

4.  Interact regularly – The President should be very good at this.  He apologizes regularly for the eight years of Bush administration decisions.  Unfortunately, Bo wasn’t around back then.

3.  Create structure – The President will probably struggle with this.  Coming as He does from the Liberal wing of the Democrat Party where all virtue is a matter of personal opinion – structure in and of itself is difficult for a lefty to define.  Bo will have the President for lunch on this.  Michelle will probably have to intervene.

2.  No grapes, raisins or chocolate – This is extremely important.  These things, although healthy for human consumption, are very, very dangerous for dogs to eat.  Giving grapes to your dog his is like raising government borrowing during times of recession – both are lethal.

1.     No Apologizing – Weakness invites challenge.  Anyone who has dealt with a neighborhood dog who approaches in an aggressive fashion understands that one must be brave, bold and defiant or otherwise invite attack.  Hugo Chavez and Danny Ortega are the neighborhood’s wild pit bulls who –after this week - are licking their chops.  They can’t wait to get their teeth into America and soon.  And why not?  The President just invited them to do so.

Obama’s Middle Class Tax ‘Cut’ - Axelrod’s Big Lie

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Providing fodder for the conservative blogosphere on Sunday, David Axelrod – Senior Obama advisor – expressed disbelief that people that were scheduled to receive a tax cut would be protesting against the Leader’s tax policy.  The real reasons so many showed up to protest included taxes, but also spending.  Like most who took Economics 101, Tea Party participants understand that taxation levied by the IRS is not the only form of taxation.

Liberals in government prefer to keep income tax rates the same in favor of increasing things like fees and licensing costs.  When election time rolls around, these Democrats go to the voters claiming to be fiscal conservatives and point to a static income tax rate as proof.  Journalists typically provide safe cover and never address the issue of other increased costs to taxpayers.  Hiding tax increases is a necessary job skill for liberal politicians.

Unfortunately for Team Obama, many voters have figured out the game.  When Axelrod claims that the middle classes will be receiving a tax cut, he neglects to inform them that they will be paying more for everything else.  This is due to government caused inflation.

Inflation is the natural and inevitable result of overspending and over-borrowing by the federal government.    Increasing the money supply to cover government debt – or increasing the number of dollars circulating in the economy – drives down the value of existing dollars.  This in turn drives up the cost of all goods and services.    Team Obama has already significantly increased the money supply.  In 2010 when the Stimulus spending really begins, the money supply will have to be increased even more.

Inflation is the cruelest form of taxation as it impacts the middle and lower classes the most.  Workers will pay more for all goods and services, but wage levels never keep pace.  LBJ invented this method of taxation as a means to pay for the Vietnam War.  Knowing the voters would never tolerate being taxed for the war in Southeast Asia; Johnson just increased the money supply and paid the government’s bills with newly created dollars.  It took until the mid 1980s and Ronald Reagan to get the inflation beast under control.

So Obama and his media groupies will claim that there is a tax cut for the middle classes.  He will rely on the ignorance of the masses to carry off the illusion that there is no tax increase.  In fact, the Obama Tax Increase on the middle class will be very, very significant and should begin to accelerate early in 2010.  We will see who Obama blames then.

Ignoring the Tea Parties ? A Dangerous Arrogance

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Ignoring the Tea Parties – A Dangerous Arrogance

In response to a question about the nationwide anti-tax revolt manifesting as “Tea Parties,” David Axelrod – a Senior Obama advisor - revealed this morning on CBS’s Face the Nation that “I think any time that you have severe economic conditions, there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that’s unhealthy. This is a country where we value our liberties and our ability to express ourselves. And so far these are expressions.”  If Axelrod and the Obama White House are allowed to define what are “ healthy expressions,” they will be quick to bring the muscle of the federal government down upon those that do not express their opinions in ways they believe are “acceptable.”  In the Democrat’s dictionary, ‘acceptable’ means opinion that agrees with their progressive political theology.

Prior Democrat administrations have had no problem bringing the Internal Revenue Service down upon those that are considered enemies of the party vision.  Commentators and contributors to conservative causes routinely face IRS audits under Democrat administrations, but this round of South-Chicago, bare-knuckle political battles will be new to most conservatives.

In spite of Axelrod’s attempts to warn conservatives that their gatherings and opinions are becoming ‘unhealthy,’ anyone observing the Tea Party gatherings would quickly note that this crowd wasn’t going to be intimidated.  In fact, they seemed to welcome the conflict and as well as the opportunity to express themselves in a public forum.    On top of that, participation was fun!  And this is probably what set Team Obama off the most.  In addition to claiming the right to define what ‘acceptable behavior is’ Obama’s White House really wants to determine what should and should not be enjoyable.

For Democrats, power is enjoyable.  A popular movement that didn’t’ have a liberal in the leadership position left most Democrats feeling left out.  Like any middle-schooler who wasn’t invited to the popular kid’s party, Team Obama reacted as if to say ‘I really didn’t want to go anyway.’  A protest without a liberal leader?  Democrats still can’t figure that out.

Napolitano’s Apology - or, sort of Apology

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Napolitano’s Apology – or sort of Aplogy

HHS Secretary Janet Napolitano joined the President in Mexico yesterday to assist in the western hemisphere’s version of the Apology Tour.  Not wanting to be left out, the Secretary made the morning talk show rounds and confronted her critics on the recently released ‘risk-assessment’ that listed among others, Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans as susceptible to becoming right wing zealots.

Through the interviews, Napolitano intimated that she really didn’t mean to insult war veterans and didn’t have any immediate plans to plant listening devices in the American Legion Halls.  So what was the real purpose of this report?  Napolitano insisted that the report was a simple risk assessment.  However, looking at the suspicious timing of the report’s release, as well as the Obama administration’s Chicago politicking roots, the only real purpose for releasing this report was to intimidate people attending the Tea Party rallies held Wednesday.

There were a couple other objectives, but primarily, the HHS report was timed to take attention away from the nationwide protest movement and to scare timid voters into silence.   Unfortunately for Team Obama, the HHS report had exactly the opposite effect.  The last thing one wants to do is provide an adversary with a reason to become energized in its opposition.

A Great Tea Party Day! Top Ten Surprises from Amateur Protesters

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Top Ten Surprises from Amateur Protesters

One thing became clear after the first few steps onto the State Capitol grounds on Tea Party Day – These people have never been to a protest before!  Participants were incredibly polite, well-dressed, and articulate and – unlike the lefties – sober.  In spite of all that, it was a blast!

Visiting the state capitol grounds usually involves dodging elementary school kids on the annual trip to bug their state representatives about how government is supposed to work.  Today, several thousand people turned out with flags, signs and a good deal of pent-up anger to hold their government accountable.   And they served notice that elected representatives will answer for over spending, over borrowing and over regulating American life.

There were some surprises though.  First time protesters are bound to make some mistakes.  In addition to trying to get the feel of participation, Tea Party protesters just couldn’t quite get comfortable with mass-movement protocol.  The following top ten elements set the Tea Party protests apart from its distant leftist cousins.

10.  Participants were respectful – especially of the landscaping.  State budgets have built in amounts to replace vegetation damaged by angry Socialist mobs that somehow are allowed to get a rally permit on capitol grounds.  Rallies for twenty leftist nut-cases leave far more damage than the thousands of Tea Party attendees.  State controllers were left scratching their heads about dinner hour when it appeared that no damage had been done and no litter remained to be collected.

9.  The dress code for popular uprising movements had not been properly communicated.  Tea Party goers were dressed for a picnic.  Save for places like Washington DC where the weather was cold and wet, many Tea Party attendees looked like they should be carrying a basket of mom’s fried chicken and a bottle of wine.

8.  Aside from the Immigration rallies of two years ago, this was the first group that carried American Flags.  This was however the first group that carried them proudly.

7.  Many interesting signs appeared at the protest.  Unfortunately for the lefties trying to decipher the meaning of each, the signs were made using correct spelling and punctuation – some signs even requested Treasury Secretary Geithner to prepare their tax returns.

6.  There were no marching slogans.  Other than chants wanting to know where the Governor was, the event was void of the meaningless platitudes that accompany leftist marches.  In this particular case, the Governor – a Democrat – was both literally and figuratively – out to lunch.

5.  Surprisingly, no bullhorns were used.  Unlike ACORN rallies which are organized with one bullhorn per three marchers, Tea Partiers relied on the pre-arranged speakers to deliver the verbiage.  Tea Party types fully understood and respected their role as the audience during each speech, and at the appropriate times, would break into cheers.

4.  Those attending the Tea Party even cued up politely for parking.  Since most lefties don’t own cars and rely on stinking up public transportation vehicles, arranging parking for thousands of State Capitol visitors was something that had never been done before.  Those that had to compete for parking did so respectfully.  They even paid their fees.

3.  Participants recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the National Anthem - both correctly.  Interestingly, this crowd could –and did- sing!

2.  CNN led those that watch it to believe that the Tea Parties would not be well attended and would be confronted by counter protesters.  The three counter protesters that dared to show up and begin chanting some incoherent drama line, were quickly shouted down and laughed at by the thousands of Tea Partiers.  Police began to intervene, but the counter protesters turned and walked away in tears.   ACORN just couldn’t find anyone more mature than people with a 14 year-old emotional constitution.  (Actually, most ACORN members have a 14 year old emotional make-up, which explains their dedication to leftist causes.)

1.  Leftists feel good and uplifted after attending a protest.   Believing that raising consciousness and calling attention to an issue accomplishes something important, lefties usually go home to their tofu and spinach pizzas with a feeling of accomplishment.   In perhaps the most interesting take-away from today’s Tea Party, participants left with the feeling that the movement had only started and that the difficult, heavy lifting of changing politicians’ minds, had only begun.  Tea Partiers left discussing next steps with one another in mature and conversational tones.  At its core, these are the main differences between a Tea Party participant and a leftist protester; maturity and thoughtfulness.  Democrats and leftists are void of both.
